In the summer meetings are usually in the form of a field trip.

The Camera Group is aimed at people with a basic knowledge of photography who wish to improve the quality of their photographs and who want to gain a better understanding of digital photography. Our members are of differing backgrounds and abilities ranging from professional to beginner and new members would be welcome.

The Group holds regular photo competitions. Below are recent winners.

The competition in March was on the Theme of "Layers"

First was Terry Howarth with "A Rose by any Other Name"

There were three photographs in the runner-up position. "Layers of Horn" by Alex MacEwan. Below that "Latte by Bill Walker" and finally "Lunching in Layers" by Roger Shann
