More u3a

Welcome to the u3a. This is the UK national site and tells you all about the u3a including links to the latest U3A news, details of events you can join and an awful lot more.

u3a Friends is an exciting initiative to bring together stories and interests from across the u3a movement; to use our collective voice to change lives and to share exclusive member offers with our exclusive Friends Extra benefits program.

The u3a in Scotland has its own website with information and events specific to Scottish u3as. Within Scotland the u3as are many and varied, from a large u3a with over 1000 members to small u3as on some of the islands, but however varied, we are united by our love of learning, sharing skills and talents, friendship and enjoyment in our Third Age.

The Stewartry u3a is a lively and friendly organisation offering a wide range of study, creative and leisure groups. Our u3a was launched in the winter of 2009 and now has over 300 members. If you would like to be involved or attend any of the groups you should join the Stewartry u3a first and then you would have access to more than 50 different interest groups covering a wide range of subjects.

Online Across Scotland was set up to enable u3a members from across Scotland to take part in interest groups and courses offered online by fellow u3a members. We were launched during lockdown when local u3as could not meet. Our groups remain active and our talks prove popular, complementing activities offered through individual u3as.

Wigtownshire u3a was set up in 2008 and currently has almost 200 members enjoying nearly 20 different interest groups ranging from Art Appreciation to Writing. Please see the Groups page for more details.
