Group Leader:- Sue Bedford

This group is for u3a members wanting to gain and develop a greater understanding and appreciation of Art.

Most of our meetings are held at the North West Resource Centre.

The members of the group choose an art related subject and we do our own research before the next meeting, for example Impressionism. We then discuss the subject together and show the relevant images on the large screen. The diverse topics we have covered are chosen by members a month in advance.

We occasionally visit local art galleries as a group and then discuss over coffee/lunch. We have also enjoyed speakers who cover a specific topic for the afternoon, sometimes at Gracefield Art Centre or Kirkcudbright Gallery.

If you are interested please get in touch.
